After spending a day on the snow you will be able to enjoy a walk in the central pedestrian high street: the Via Roma. Here you can get into some shopping or sip a drink with your friends in one of the many bars. A tour through the enchanting historical centre of the village is highly advisable.
Some time in the local ancient Spas, is also a great après-ski activity. The spring thermal waters of Bormio will leave you feeling like new. Do not miss the chance to visit the Bagni Nuovi, the Bagni Vecchi and Bormio Terme.
In summer, the landscape changes completely: snow melts away and leave space to green fields.
Next to purely enjoying the sun, by lazily laying in the big and silent solarium of the Hotel Cedrone, summer offers a great variety of activities: from mountain biking and trekking on the numerous mountain paths to summer skiing on the snow of the Stelvio Glacier.
A trip on the Trenino Rosso del Bernina is a very good option for a day trip out of Bormio. Livigno, a nearby village, is also a must-see: here you’ll be able to enjoy some VAT-free shopping or a walk along the many mountain paths leading to the typical Alpine refuges. A visit to nearby Switzerland is also recommended.
